During my Leaving Certificate in 2016, I was given the task of either editing an already created blender or design a new device from my own chosen theme.

So to narrow down the chance of making the wrong choice I did both.

I re-created a simple blender from the Tefal Company, which I found in my own home.
&
I designed and created a concept blender based on the theme of Music.
Tefal Re-Created Blender
I began this half of the project by measuring and sketching out the dimensions of the product. After this I scanned my sketches in began by using the tool of SolidWorks.
I designed the project in 5 parts, the base, blades, jug, lid and the filler. After modelling and assembling the device, I used Photoview360 to render the appliance. Importing the render to Photoshop I created the images seen above.
Concept Blender
For this half of the project i was slightly more restricted with time but took that into account when designing and deciding how many pieces to use. I also had to include my chosen theme of music into the project. The Final decision was to design a blender that had a radio built in as to allow music with your morning smoothie. I then based the pieces off different parts of instruments.
The final list of items with their chosen instrument were as follows :
 - Base : Snare drum, Guitar and Radio
 - Blades : Quaver Music Note
 - Jug : Tuba
 - Lid : Drum Set Cymbal
 - Stirrer : Guitar Stick.
The same procedure was used of sketching and giving these pieces dimensions. Importing those to Solidworks, Photoview360 and Photoshop.
As the project was for my Leaving Certificate I was graded an A on this Project.
Looking back at it now there are quite a few things I would like to edit such as, both the blades and the stirrer need much improvement and possibly to add a colour scheme to the piece.
